Season of Lent is a Holy season a season of grace for Christians. Mother Church invites us to meditate on the mysteries of our salvation. In order to encourage the devotion of the statians of the cross 14 crosses were blessed and handed over to the 14 ward gurkars after the evening service on Ash Wednesday, Feb 10, 2016. Cross will visit every house and will reside in every house. The elder in the house will receive the cross from the neighbour and next day will hand over the cross to the neighbouring family. The ward people will meet in the house and conduct the devotion of the stations. Praying for the intentions of the universal Church, local church, Parish, Ward and the members of the family. The 14 crosses will came back to the Parish on Good Friday before the service Main purpose is.

1)To popularise the devotion of the stations of the cross in the families & neighbourhood.

2) To help the housebound to participate in the devotion of stations of the cross.

3) To facilitate neighbourhood reconciliation and good relationship

Parish Priest Fr. Victor D’Mello handed over the crosses to the 14 ward leaders along with the folder containing intentions for statians of the cross. A big crowd attended the service and the ward members took the cross in procession to their respective wards. May our saviour who died on the cross for over sake bless us and give us the grace to carry on our daily crosses.
