March 6, 2022 was a memorable day for the children of Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem. On that day all the children looked colorful with a glow on their faces. Indeed it was a day of celebration. The Annual Catechism day was marked with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist officiated by Rev. Fr Valerian Fernandes, the Editor of Raknho weekly, and concelebrated by Most Rev. Fr. Oswald Monteiro the Parish Priest. A short programme was held thereafter. Princita D Souza from class 10th shared her experience highlighting the benefits of catechism classes. Mrs Vinaya Saldanha mused on behalf of the teacher, her opinion about the importance of catechism classes. The Chief guest congratulated all the children and appreciated the teachers.

Most. Rev. Fr Oswald thanked all the children for faithfully attending the classes inspite of the fears of Covid-19 pandemic. He thanked the teachers and the parents for their whole hearted co-operation. All the children who attended the class and wrote the exam received a prize. Their joy had no bounds. The generous service of the catechism ministers was well appreciated with a token of gratitude. The hidden service of Mr Michael Lewis was recognized and was awarded. The whole programme was compeered by Mrs Anitha Menezes. Rev. Fr Sunil D Souza, Mr Stevan D Cunha the Parish Council Vice President, Mr Maxim Pinto the Secretary, Mr Santhan D Souza the Co-coordinator of all Commission, Sr Cecilia D Souza the convener of commission for Catechism were also present on dais.
