The vaccination mission was held in Kirem church in two phases.

In the First phase on 11th June 2021, 105 people were vaccinated.

In the Second phase on 21st June, 110 people were vaccinated with Covishield first dose.

It was the initiative of the parish priest Fr. Victor D’Mello and the parish council Vice president Mr. Stephen D'cunha, Secretary Mr. Maxim Pinto and Mr. Santhan D'Souza Convenor of different commissions.

More than 50% of the parishioners took vaccines in PHC and Panchayath. Keeping in mind the difficulty faced by the senior citizens in reaching the vaccination centers and hospitals and waiting there for hours together, the vaccination program was organized in the church premises. Youngsters were directed to go to Kateel KMC hospital and the senior citizens were vaccinated in the church premises.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Director of Kanachur hospital and research center , Dr Rohan Monis the chief administrative officer, Dr. Chetana the nodal officer and Zaheer the specialist in collaboration with the parish team headed by Fr. Victor D’Mello, successfully completed this noble mission. The whole mission was assisted by the parish volunteers.

The elderly brothers and sisters were very happy with this initiative. May God bless us all.
