Independence day was celebrated in the church after by hoisting the flag. Rev.Fr.Paul Rego was the President of the function,Mrs.Violet castelino President of Shirva Grama Panchayat was the chief guest,Rev.Fr. Henry Alva,vice president of parish council Mr.Prakash Noronha, Animator of ICYM Mr.Lucas Dsouza were present. President of ICYM Anil Dsouza welcomed the gathering.. Mrs.Violet Castelino hoisted the tricolor. Miss Reshma Martis spoke on Independence day.Mrs.Violet during her speech spoke about independence and the developments that have taken place in the country and the present problems of our country.Brindon Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Pamboor Catholic Aided Primary School The celebration started by hoisting the tricolor flag by rev.Fr.Paul Rego. vice president of parish council Mr.Prakash Noronha, President of Parent teacher association Mr.Ronald Sequeira, head master of school Mr.Herald Dmello. A small program was organized in order to distribute books,uniform etc to the students. Rev.fr.Paul gave his Presidential address, the people who helped with a contribution were felicitated. A cultural program was organized by the students.
